W E L L D R A I N B O X E S A N D E X T E N S I O N S The EXTENSIONS, available in 10 cm or as the same as the PZ collecting wells but without bottom, allow a vertical sectioning, particularly useful when the pipe line is deeper than the collecting well. In 1984 the monolithic collecting wells PZ made in polypropylene material designed and presented by First made the building industry appreciate the qualities of this plastic product in comparison with concrete articles. The well is fitted with four diaphragms which can be easily removed to insert pipes sealed with silicon. PZS SIMPLEX wells are economical due to their structural simplicity and due to the fitting with predisposed cut areas on four sides for insertion of pipes without gasket. Using “Neoprene” seals expansions and settlements are taken care of and allows pipe fittings a 40% gradient. The PZD wells, available in 25x25, 30x30 and 40x40, presents interesting technical innovations: 1) Bottom discharge which avoids backwater. 2) On two opposite sides there are groove mouth pieces for pipes input and tongue mouth pieces for output. 3) On two opposite sides “Neoprene” seals can be used in order to care for expansions and settlements and to allow pipe fitting up to 40% gradient. 4) With a suitable gasket and a SCDB lid fitted with closing locking device it can be water-tight scaled. 5) They can be stacked saving stocking space. The wells and the extensions are monolithic manufactured plastic non self carrying: they become so with an adequate covering of concrete.
