Barrel roof: When the roofing pitch is not flat. it may have various shapes, e.g. circular or semicircular, with a certain bend radius. Ridge line: It is the horizontal intersection line between two divergent sloping roof planes. Its function is to facilitate storm water drainage. Edge line: Sloping line at the lateral end of a roofing surface. Joining line between vertical surfaces: It is the intersection line between sloping planes (roofing) and vertical surfaces (wall). Inclined ridge line: It is the intersection line between two sloping planes on top of which the diagonal ridge is installed. Transversal axis: It is parallel to the gutter line. INSTALLING SHEETS LAYING DIRECTION To install the sheets Coppo you have to follow an obligatory laying direction from the Left to the right and an optimum overlap designed to obtain the maximum usable roof area (see the picture on the right). The vertical overlap must be positioned preserving the aesthetic continuity of the sheets. INTERSECTION OF 4 SHEETS On the right you can see in details the intersection between vertical and horizontal overlapping of Coppo sheets. INSTALLING RUSTICA & ANTICA INSTALLATION SHEETS LAYING DIRECTION To install the sheets RUSTICA you have to follow an obligatory laying direction from the left to the right and an optimum overlap designed to obtain the maximum usable roof area (see the picture on the right). The vertical overlap must be positioned preserving the aesthetic continuity of the sheets. INTERSECTION OF 4 SHEETS On the right you can see in details the intersection between vertical and horizontal overlapping of Rustica sheets. INTERSECTION DE4 PLAQUES Agauche vous trouvez le detail de /'intersection entre recouvrement vertical et horizontal des plaques Rustica RIDGE INSTALLATION WITH JOINTS INSTALLATION DE LA FAIT/EREAVECJOINTS The installation of Rustica ridge joints is very easy and it allows a perfect seal on side waves. Before drilling roof ridge and sheets make sure that the different parts of the roof are perfectly matched. •Joints must be installed between the sheet and the lower part of the ridge: it is recommended to put the joints as close as possible to the external edge to allow maximum compression and therefore the best water tightness of the whole covering (picture. 1) • Installation of the seal: clean the surface of the sheet with amild detergent solution, apply the adhesive side of the joint to the plate, remove the protection and fix it with a little pressure (picture 2) • Put the ridge onto the seal and pierce with a10 mm drill. CAUTION: to optimize watertight the hole must be made on the upper part of the wave of the Lastra Rustica sheet and in the middle of the joint (picture 3) • Fix the ridge, joints and sheet Rustica to the underlying structure using a flat cap and 150 mm screws (picture 4) L'installation desjoints pour la faitiere superieure de la plaque Rustica est une operation tres simple, qui permet l'etancheite complete de la toiture. • Lejoint doit etre applique entre la faitiere superieure et la tale au dessous; afin de permettre la compression maximale du joint et, par consequent, la meilleure etancheite a l'eau, on conseille d'installer les joints aux extremites de la faitiere (fig. 1) • Pour faciliter la pose du joint: bien nettoyer la surface de la plaque avec un produit non-aggressif, retirer la protection de l'adhesif, positioner le joint sur la plaque (le cote adhesif sur les ondes et la surface plane vers le haut - fig. 2). • Positionner la faitiere superieure au-dessus du joint et percer l'accessoire avec un foret de 10 mm Attention: le trou doit etre effectue en correspondance de la partie superieure de l'onde de la plaque Rustica et au milieu du joint (fig. 3), afin d'optimiser l'etancheite. • Fixer la faitiere, lejoint et la plaque Rustica sur la charpente avec un cavalier universe/ et une vis de 150 mm (fig. 4) ADVISABLE DISTANCE OVERLAP MINIMUM SLOPE SUGGESTIONS ON NUMBER AND POSITION OFTHE FIXINGS ENTRAXE CONSEILLE RECOUVREMENT PENTEMINIMUM CONSE/LSSUR NOMBRE ETPOSITION DES FIXATIONS ~ ~ ------- 20% (11°) 28
