ASSEMBLY WITH GASKET 17 The First Plast gutter system is very easy to install. First securely mount the brackets or the rafters, and then install the channel starting from either end. When installing the gutter channel, follow the general directions given below: • Insert and lock the rear edge (unrimmed) of the gutter profile in the bracket inner seat (see Picture 1). • Turn the channel section inside the bracket (Picture 2) and lock it in the bracket outer seat (Picture 3). Gutter channel sections are assembled to one another using the various accessories. According to project requirements, use expansion unions to join two channel sections or running outlet to join a channel section to the downpipe drainage system (see drawing at page end). With the system, gutter channels can be glued together or assembled using gaskets that allow optimum expansion in all climatic conditions. The example below shows a GSN 125 running outlet being fitted with a GU20 gasket. • Insert the gasket into its seats at both ends of the running outlet (Picture 4). ATTENTION: Each gutter type with BI-SYSTEM can be fitted with gaskets of different sizes to allow improved watersealing. The various types of GU gaskets are illustrated in the pages dedicated to gutter types. • Insert and lock the rear edge (unrimmed) of the gutter profile into the inner seat of the running outlet so that to obtain a 3 or 4 cm overlap with the gasket (Picture 5). • Turn the channel section into the running outlet and lock it in the outlet outer seat so that the gasket is fully covered by the locked-in gutter.
